Creating an HPGL or HPGL/2 plot file to use
with Squiggle
Though Squiggle 6 supports AutoCAD 2006 and earlier
DWG, DXF files, it's sometimes necessary to generate
HPGL or HPGL/2 plot files for proper use. Creating
a plot file of your drawing results in the exact
output you would get if you actually printed this
output to your printing device and allows Squiggle
to handle features it might not otherwise support
(e.g. 3D perspectives using hidden lines).
- Open your main CAD application. In this example
we used AutoCAD 2006, but you should be able
to produce the same results with whatever CAD
application you use.
- Open the CAD drawing you wish to convert to
HPGL (see Figure 1).
